Contest Rules

April 1 - 30

Artists may choose to work from home on their miniature house, or take the class at the Art Center in Wofford Heights (time and date TBA)

This flexible structure ensures accessibility for artists with different schedules, comfort levels, and working styles.

Creative Guidelines

We will provide a list of suggested “literary houses”. We want a mix of houses from adult AND children’s books. If an artist doesn’t want to create a house from the list, prior approval from the library is required to make sure it’s family friendly.

These houses will be displayed on bookshelves throughout the library, transforming the stacks into a whimsical, art‑infused landscape that celebrates creativity and literacy.

Houses need to be family friendly since many young children use the library and we don't want to offend anyone.

All completed literary houses will be accompanied by small placards with the artist’s name, title of the piece, with a QR code to a video statement from the artist. There will also be a map in the library showing where each house is located in the library.
