Spring 2008
Most homework assignments will be assigned and explained IN CLASS (another reason why you need to be there!) but occasionally I will post assignments on our website here!
Thursday class - it's Chapter 15 for you, and here is your chapter review to complete and submit!
Go to Keirsey.com and take the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II - Personality Instrument - bring in your test results so we can discuss the different types!
You should enjoy learning a bit about yourself as you complete the homework for this. You have three evaluations (1 - what is "normal" sexual behavior?, 2 - Defining aggression, and 3 - Measuring Sensation Seeking behavior) to download and complete. Have fun!
Find AT LEAST TWO children, different ages, to complete this assignment. This is to measure intellectual development. You will read the first part of the expression and then write down how each child says she would finish it! Write down whatever they say.
Identify the classical conditioning components and identify the reinforcement schedules from the lecture. Download the Learning homework here!
Go to the Implicit Association Test and take at least two of the tests. Tell me which ones you took and what you learned about yourself in your write-up (typed - same ole same ole).
Pick 5 illusions from the websites linked to your lecture notes, from the text, from BOOKS (yeah!) of illusions, or other sources you can cite! Give me the name of the illusion, tell me where you found it (citing your sources!), and then explain to me how that illusion happens - what is the error in perception?! Illusions can be visual or auditory. As with all homework assignments, this must be typed, dbl-spaced, 1" margins all around, 12 pt font, and stapled prior to coming to class, also due at the beginning of class. (same ole same ole)
